Reading is fundamental

So many of us take for granted that we can read. There are millions of Americans, not to mention the foreign illiterate who cannot. It is imperative that we who do read lend a helping hand to others who can't. I am an aspiring business owner with plans of three bookstores and a literary foundation that will be hell bent on teaching American's to read. I believe you are never to old to start making a change. I heard a comedian say that if your over forty its too late to start trying to change your life. Even though he may have been joking, self-improvement is never anything to joke about.

Perserverence is a quality that many American's posses. One of my mottos is "learn until you die."
Never stop being curious. Never give up on your dreams, if you live, then your dreams live.

My dream of becoming the most sucessful female, African-American screenwriter lives.

What does it mean to be a woman?

I created this blog to explore what it means to be a woman. Is it our hair, breast, or vagina? Or is it something more? Is it our ability to withstand heartache while continuing to move through life. With broken hearts we continue to pursue our dreams and goals. I know what it means to cry in the shower and still have to go out and face the world. I remember the episode in Sex and the City when Charlotte suffered a  miscarriage. In the scene she was in bed without makeup but soon she was deftly sliding on designer shades with her face to the sun.

I named this blog Quintessential because of its meaning.

Finding Peace

Greetings,
So often in this busy world we forget to take time to smell the roses. With all that grabs for our attention during the day, how often do we just take the time to relax and breathe. Society is moving at a nonstop pace. We're in airports, in commute, and never stopping to find peace.

Find time to just stop, think, and listen. It is amazing the ideas and discoveries that are bought about in quite time. It is necessary to renew your sense of being with a relaxed conciousness. Light a candle, sip a cup of herbal tea and breathe...

This is my first foray into blogging and as usual I'm late. I have a screenplay I am going to draft soon call Late Bloomers. Due to the thievery nature of human beings I cannot go into details. Needless to say the premise is about a woman that seemingly does everything late. I don't have one follower yet so this one is for me and God.  I created this blog to share what I know about being a human but especially about being a quintessential woman. Gonna keep this one short and sweet just to feel my way and learn the ins and out. So I hopefully have created something that women will respond to. My plan was to teach but maybe I'll learn something also. So...
